Fie Adolfsen is Social Media Manager at Cardiff Devils. Devils are a Welsh ice hockey team who play in the British Elite Ice Hockey League.
Fie has been working in Devils since 2017. She runs all social media accounts for the Devils including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. Fie is originally from Denmark but spent 4 years at University in Glasgow. Previously as part of her university programme, she worked with the Braehead Clan (Scottish professional ice hockey team).

What was your first sports job?
I did my fourth year university project for the Braehead Clan – Glasgow’s pro hockey team, where we did PR and marketing.
How would you describe yourself in one word?
Tenacious
What is your strongest personal quality?
Work ethic
What do you feel most proud of in your career?
Being a part of the Cardiff Devils organisation and bringing the fantastic fans of this club, a closer insight into the club that they love.
One thing you wish you knew when you started your career?
Take every opportunity for experience you can get your hands on – every little thing you do will teach you something.

What trend(s) will dominate sports industry in next years?
Personal brand building amongst the pro athletes to a much bigger extend that we’ve seen before. A focus on video and digital content and marketing over the more traditional methods.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
Uhm, at one point I wanted to be a lawyer.

“Born a crime” – Trevor Noah

Not anymore, used to play football

Zinedine Zidane
Who would you invite to your dream dinner?
Trevor Noah, Ellen & Serena Williams
What is top of your bucket list?
Sports bucket list; An El Clasico game at the Bernabeu.
What 3 things would you take with you to a desert island?
An Inflatable Raft with Rows, a good (long) book and some sun screen.
